Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket team left the city for the United Arab Emirates on Sunday to take part in the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Asia Cup Under-19 Cricket Tournament, which will start on November 29. The Junior Tigers are the defending champions of this meet. A total of eight teams splitting into two groups will take part in this year’s Asia Cup Under-19 Cricket Tournament.
Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka have been taken place in Group-A, while India, Pakistan, UAE and Japan have been billed in Group-B.
Bangladesh will take Afghanistan on November 29, the Junior Tigers will face Nepal on December 1, Bangladesh will meet Sri Lanka on December 3.
Earlier, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket team for the upcoming prestigious cricket competition for the youngsters.
Top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals, which are scheduled to be held on December 6 and the final will take place on December 8 in Dubai of the UAE.

Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket squad: Azizul Hakim Tamim (Captain) Zawad Abrar (Vice-Captain), Rifat Beg, Samiun Basir Ratul, Debashish Sarker, Rizan Hossan, Mohammad Al Fahad, Iqbal Hasan Emon, Rafi Uzzaman, Farid Hasan, Maruf Mridha, Shihab James, Ashrafuzzaman Barenaya and Saad Islam.
Standbys: Kalam Siddiki Aleen (travelling reserve), Shahariar Ajmir, Yeasir Arafat and Sanjid Mozumder.
