Israt Jahan Jui is quite popular among the folk music artistes of this generation. At one time,
she sang many songs for other channels. Those songs also brought her a lot of popularity. But for the past few years, Jui has been devoting a lot of time to her YouTube channel, ‘Israt Jahan Jui’.
When an artiste starts their own YouTube channel, their focus also increases on releasing new songs. And listeners are also happy to hear new songs sung by their favourite artistes.
In that continuation, Jui’s new folk song titled ‘Bhalobasa Emon Keno’ was released on her own channel in her voice.
The song was written and composed by Baul Salam Sarkar. The music was arranged by Salam Mahmud.
While talking about her newly released folk song, Jui told this correspondent, “I really liked the lyrics and melody of the song ‘Bhalobasa Emon Keno’ and expressed my interest in performing the song.
I’m really impressed with the response I’ve received from the audience since the song was released. Those of us who sing regularly, especially for our own channels, have to struggle a lot. I do that pain only for the love of the audience.
When I release a new song, I feel really good when I start getting responses from the audience. It gives me the courage to try new things and inspires me. Thanks and gratitude to all my fans, listeners and viewers.
I want to say one more thing to the audience, if you like the song I sing, please let me know. And if you don’t like it, please tell me why. Then I can improve myself more.”
Jui has already captivated the audience by performing at the Boisakhi festival organised at a club in the capital on the occasion of Pahela Boishakh.
The first original song released in Jui’s voice was ‘Tumi Bujhlana’. Then, the songs released and discussed in her voice are: ‘Mirpur Express’, ‘Shesh Pakhi’, ‘Dustu Meye’, ‘Sholokola’, ‘Morar Kolkile’, ‘Bhagge Chhilina’, ‘Bondhu Boro Maya Lagaichhe’, ‘Premer Hawa’, ‘Tumi Kare Paiya Sukhi’, ‘Pirit Modhur Jontrona’, etc. Among the songs covered by Jui, the popular songs ‘Tomra Koyyogo Bujhaiya’ (about three crores), ‘Jibon Mane Jontrona’, ‘Kolija Bhuna’, ‘Bondhu Bine Pran Bachena’, and others come into the spotlight again in voice
of Jui. In total, Jui has sung more than 20 songs so far.
A few days ago, Jui
graduated first in her first class in honour’s in Folk Music from the Govt Music College in Dhaka.
She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in same subject at the same college.
