Sheikh Arif Bulbon :
Israt Jahan Jui, a popular folk artiste of this generation, is in a different position in folk music. She is releasing new folk songs one after another and again on her own channel because with a lot of hard work, Jui has established her own channel.
However, Jui sometimes sings outside of her channel for professional reasons. ‘Piriter Ghor’ is just such a song.
The song was released yesterday on a new YouTube channel.
The song was written by Tanvir Ahmed, and the music and tunes were composed by Akash Mahmud. Akash is also Jui’s co-artiste in this song.
Sajjad Chowdhury and Sumona Afrin are the models in the music video for the song of Jui.
Regarding talking about her newly released song, Jui told this correspondent, “Just hearing the name ‘Piriter Ghor’ gives us an idea of what the song’s lyrics might be like. I actually liked the lyrics of the song so I rendered it. The melody is simply captivating. The video was made with great care. All in all, ‘Piriter Ghor’ is a wonderful song that is appropriate for the times. That’s why I’m very optimistic about the song. I hope everyone, especially those who love folk songs, will like it. Since the song resonated with me, I believe it will resonate with everyone. The rest is really a matter of time. I give thanks to Akash Mahmud for making such a wonderful song. Best wishes to him.”
A few days ago, the song ‘Bhalobasa Emon Keno’ was released in the voice of Jui. The song was written and composed by Baul Salam Sarkar. Its music was arranged by Akash Mahmud.
The first original song released in Jui’s voice was ‘Tumi Bujhlana’. After this, the popular songs that have been sung in her voice are: ‘Mirpur Express’, ‘Posha Pakhi’, ‘Dustu Meye’, ‘Sholo Kola’, ‘Morar Kokile’, ‘Bhagge Chhilina’, ‘Bondhu Boro Maya Lagaichhe’, ‘Premer Hawa’, ‘Tumi Kare Paiya Sukhi’, ‘Pirit Modhur Jontrona’ etc.
The cover of the song in voice of Jui was a great way to express her feelings about ‘Tomra Koiyogo Bujhaiya,’ ‘Jibon Mane Jontrona’ ‘Kolija Bhuna’, ‘Bondhu Bine Pran Bachena’ etc. In total, Jui has sung more than 200 songs so far.
Jui wants to reach her goal only through singing. One day, her name will spread throughout the villages of Bengal, everyone will recognise her as one name.
A few days ago, Jui graduated first in the first class in the field of folk music from the Government Music College in Dhaka. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in the same subject at the same college.
However, Jui’s meditation and knowledge revolve only around music. She wants to reach her goal only through music. That day she will feel complete.
