A workers’ meeting of Jatiyatabadi Sarmik Dal (JSD), a front organisation of BNP, was held at the local Public hall on Sunday.
Convener of Netrakona district BNP and prominent physician Dr. Mohammad Anwarul Haque addressed the meeting as chief guest while vice president of Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal central committee Mehedi Ali Khan addressed the meeting as main speaker.
Chaired by president of the Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal Netrakona district unit Akikur Reja Khan Khukon, the meeting was addressed, among others, by member secretary of district BNP Dr. Rafiqul Islam Hilali, former president of district BNP and Lawmaker Ashrafuddin Khan, senior joint convener of district BNP and government pleader (GP) of the district Advocate Mahfujul Haque, joint convener of district BNP SM Moniruzzaman Dudu and president of district Krishak Dal Salauddin Khan Milki.
Assistant women affairs secretary of the Sramik Dal central committee Hamida Khatun formally inaugurated the workers meeting.
The meeting was conducted by general secretary of district Sramik Dal Tarifur Rahman Ripon.
Speaking at the meeting, the chief guest convener of district BNP Dr. Anwarul Haque said, the cohorts of fallen fascist and dictator Sheikh Hasina are still hatching deep-rooted conspiracies to destroy the country’s peace and stability by creating artificial unrest in the country.
In this context, he underlined the need for greater unity and solidarity among the workers and leaders of BNP and it’s front organizations to foil all the evil designs of the cohorts of the fallen dictators.
Dr. Anwarul Haque expressed his hope that the interim government will arrange a free fair and acceptable national election as soon as possible after completing it’s reforms works.
