Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs at its 20th meeting discussed the Foreign Donation (Voluntary Activities) Regulation Bill-2015 to give a legal shape to it.
Committee Chairman Suranjit Sengupta presided over the meeting held on Wednesday at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban, said an official release.
Members of the committee Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq, M Tajul Islam Choudhury, Abdul Matin Khasru, Sahara Khatun and M Shamsul Haque Tuku attended the meeting.
Law Commission chairman, Transparency International Bangladesh executive officer, NGO Affairs Bureau chairman and representatives of different NGOs have delivered their opinions on the Bill in the meeting.
Prime Minister’s principal secretary, secretaries of law and justice division and legislative and parliament division and concerned officials of the parliament secretariat were also present on the occasion.
