Entertainment Report :

Actor and presenter Shahriar Nazim Joy is facing criticism one after another for his actions. Criticism does not leave him behind. He has been criticised at various times by presenting controversial questions in various programmes. However, he enjoyed the awareness of the fact that the show’s views increased due to that criticism.
Now another incident came forward. Joy wrote a letter to the then Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in 2014 to get a plot in Purbachal.
In that letter, Joy addressed then Prime Minister as the best leader of the subcontinent and ideal mother, hoping to get a piece of land. A picture of that letter went viral on social media. Innumerable people are sharing that letter, making various kinds of comments.
At the beginning of the application, Shahriar Nazim Joy addressed, “Honourable Prime Minister, the best leader of the subcontinent and an idol mother.”
He then wrote, “The greetings of another son named Shahriar Nazim Joy to you. I am Joy, a popular hero (TV and film) of Bangladesh. With your prayers, I have been one of the sources of entertainment for the people of Bangladesh for the past 17 years on TV screens and in healthy films.”
Joy wrote praising Sheikh Hasina’s politics, “You are very compassionate and a friend of danger to the people of Bengal. Not only that, the strong, courageous and enlightened ideals you were bowled over during the last election period it has made people like us pledge to salute your leadership forever.”
In the third paragraph of the application, Joy clarified his shadow. He wrote, “Mother, an artiste’s request to you, all artistes of my contemporaries have got either 10 katha or 5 katha plots in Purbachal. I couldn’t afford to stay outside the country for shooting. Later, when I applied to ‘Jhilmil’, I did not get it in the lottery.”
He ended the application form with a strong request for a plot in Purbachal.
He wrote, “Mother, Purbachal is my dream of a land – my child’s future. I begged you, I know you will not give up on this child of yours (Inshallah).”
In the wake of such an emotional appeal, Joy did not receive the phone calls even though he called several times to know if he got his desired plot.
On the other hand, a case has been filed against 50 people including Shahriar Nazim Joy a few days ago on the charge of attacking BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s convoy and trying to kill her.
Artiste Asif Imam filed this case as a plaintiff in Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Zaki Al Farabi’s court.
Joy said in defense in this regard, “I am very sorry about the case. I have never had the courage to touch anyone in my life and did not quarrel with anyone. I am shocked by such an incident. People in my family have become worried. On April 15, 2015, I was in Nepal for shooting.”
When the whole country is hot in students’ protest, Joy was completely indifferent. His role surprised everyone, Joy came under criticism.
He apologised profusely to the nation in a video message for not being able to play an active role in the student movement to avoid that criticism. Joy said, “I sincerely apologise to the nation for not being able to play an active role in the student movement. There is nothing greater than forgiveness. You will surely forgive me.”
In 2007, Shahriar Nazim Joy made his debut on the TV screen with the drama ‘Godhuli Logne’. He has also acted in movies.
He also presented the celebrity talk shows of ATN Bangla titled ‘Sense of Humour’, Asian TV’s ‘Common Sense’ and Ekushey Television’s ‘With Nazim Joy’. Currently, he hosts a show called ‘300 Seconds’ on Channel i.
