In recognition of his significant role in the environmental and social development of Bangladesh, journalist of SA Television and founding director of Durbar Youth Development Organization, Md. Ismayl Hosen, has been honored with the Labannya Media Award 2025 in the “Organizer” category.
On Friday, May 23, 2025, the award ceremony began at 3:00 PM at the Bangladesh Shishu Academy in Segunbagicha, Dhaka, organized by “Kachikachar Mela.” The colorful event was graced by distinguished personalities, popular actors and actresses, international guests, environmental and social development activists, and youth organizers.
Ismayl Hosen has long been devoted to activities focused on environmental protection, youth development, and social responsibility. Through the Durbar Youth Development Organization, he has continuously worked to foster leadership, skill development, and awareness among young people, aiming to bring about positive social change.
Commenting on the recognition, Hedayetullah Turki, Deputy Registrar of Jagannath University and Head of Labannya Media House, said, “The presence of transparent leadership and socially responsible organizers like Ismayl Hosen is a shining example for the future.”
Notably, Ismayl Hosen has collaborated with several influential organizations working for environmental and social advancement. These include: Right Talk Bangladesh (Social Awareness), Amra Durbar (River and Environmental Protection), Swapna Sarathi Youth Development Organization and Swapna Sarathi Public Library (Social and Educational Development).
This award is not merely a personal achievement for Ismayl Hosen; rather, it symbolizes the rise of Bangladesh’s youth power in environmental and social development and opens the doors to his potential on the international stage.
