Art & Culture Report :Bengal Gallery of Fine Arts in support with Bangladesh High Commission in Australia, Australia Bangladesh Cultural Exchange Inc (ABCx) and Anandapath, Tangail organised three group exhibitions of 10 Bangladeshi artists in Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra in Australia recently. The exhibitions were held under the banner of Jonmobhumir Gaan. Its first exhibition was inaugurated at the Alliance Francaise Gallery in Melbourne. Chairman of the National Gallery of Australia Allan Myers inaugurated the show as the chief guest. Meanwhile, Chancellor of Southern Cross University and President of Actionaid Australia John Dowd inaugurated next show as chief guest at Queen Street Gallery in Sydney. Later the last exhibition was inaugurated by Bangladesh High Commissioner in Australia Lt Gen (retd) Masud Uddin Chowdhury at Ann Harding Conference Centre of the University of Canberra. Artworks of Qayyum Chowdhury, Tahera Khanam, Rafiqun Nabi, Monirul Islam, Abdus Shakoor Shah, Farida Zaman, Ranjit Das, Rokeya Sultana, Kanakchapa Chakma and Mohammad Iqbal were on display in the exhibitions.n
