JnU to get more priority in budget allocation

Jagannath University (JnU) will get more priority in budget allocation compared to past, said University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Professor Dr. SMA Fayez.

He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the Iftar Party organized by the Jagannath University Journalists Association on Friday.

The UGC Chairman said, “the government is going through many crises now. Even then, we will do whatever we can for the welfare of Jagannath University (JnU) and its students. We understand the hardships of Jagannath University students. Both the boys and girls of JnU struggle a lot.

Mentioning the role of Jagannath University students in the mass uprising of the students and the public in 24, Dr. Fayez also mentioned that the role of Jagannath University students in this revolution is very big.

Even when it was a college, it was its glory. Besides, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim was the special guest in the Iftar party and he said, “our University students study without a hall. As the work of our second campus is going on, we hope that UGC will look after Jagannath University with providing maximum cooperation.

Jagannath University Journalists Association President Imran Hussain presided over the program and the program was moderated by JnU Journalists Association General Secretary Mahtab Limon. University treasurer Professor Dr. Sabina Sharmin was also present as the special guest.

Apart from this, deans of various faculties of the university, leaders of JnU Teachers Association, teachers of various departments, several leaders of political and social organizations and journalists were present.
