Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University (JKKNIU) is preparing to host its third annual Research Fair 2025 on Tuesday, May 6. This year’s event will introduce a new feature: a Research Idea Competition, exclusively designed for students, marking an exciting addition to the university’s research-focused initiatives.
Organised by the university’s Research and Extension Center, the competition invites students to submit their research proposals by April 15. Applicants must submit three hard copies of their proposals using the designated form, available on the university’s website. Additionally, a soft copy must be emailed to jkkniu.researchfair@gmail.com.
The top two participants from each faculty member will receive honorary crests and certificates.
In an official statement, Dr Md Habibur Rahman, director of the Research and Extension Center and Convener of Research Fair 2025, emphasised the importance of academic integrity. All research proposals will undergo plagiarism checks. “Any submission with more than 20 per cent similarity will be disqualified,” he stated.
Selected projects will be showcased through poster presentations under the supervision of the Research and Extension Center.
