Jaya Ahsan doesn’t seem to age. This is a widely discussed topic in Dhaka’s showbiz industry, and her fans are equally amazed by how she stays so fit.
She continues to work full throttle in films across both Bangladesh and West Bengal, enjoying equal popularity.
Currently busy promoting her new films, the actress recently gave an interview to the Kolkata-based YouTube channel Indulge Express, where, for the first time, she openly admitted that she has been in a relationship for a long time.
She also shared her thoughts on marriage and revealed some unknown aspects of her personal life.
In response to the host’s question, Jaya candidly said, “Yes, of course I am. A person can’t live alone. Of course I am.”
However, she clarified that her “special someone” is not from the film industry. Being in a relationship with someone from outside the film world was never a conscious decision for her – but it happened anyway.
According to Jaya, “We have been together for a very long time, many years… Before becoming partners in any relationship, it’s important to be good friends first, and we have achieved that. He tolerates a lot from me.
I am an actress, I travel a lot, I work in Kolkata for long periods-none of this bothers him. He allows me to work, and that’s a big thing. We are both very private people, so we try to live in our own way.”
When asked about one quality she likes most in her partner, she replied, “He is very calm.” The host then joked, “But you’re calm too.” Jaya laughed and answered, “Yes, maybe that’s why I like him.”
On the subject of marriage, Jaya said, “I can’t say right now. I don’t know if I’ll feel the urge to get married soon, or if I ever will. I respect the idea of marriage and living together, but I haven’t decided yet.”
When asked if that meant she wasn’t ready for marriage, she responded, “It’s not about readiness. I actually have a fear, an anxiety about it.” Could that fear be due to past relationship experiences? Jaya replied, “It could be. I think so too.”
Towards the end of the interview, the actress mentioned that discussions are underway for some new films and web series, but she does not wish to reveal details just yet.
