An Asset-Liability Management Committee (ALCO) meeting of Janata Bank PLC was held at the bank’s head office, with Managing Director Md Mujibur Rahman in the chair, according to a press release.
The meeting, held on Sunday, was attended by Deputy Managing Directors Md Foyez Alam and Md Ashraful Alam, along with concerned general managers and deputy general managers of the bank.
In his opening remarks, the managing director issued a number of directives based on the bank’s overall current situation.
He emphasised the need to increase the volume of auto challan collections, boost foreign remittance inflows, expand low-cost deposits, accelerate the recovery and reduction of classified loans, and strengthen efforts to recover written-off loans, among other strategic priorities.
