Jamila wants to enter the Guinness Book of Records

Jamila Khatun, a mother of two, continues to win gold medals at the World Championships. She won medals in all three continents – Asia, Europe and America,which is very rare in the world.
In terms of career success, this martial arts daughter wants to write her name in the Guinness Book of Records.

‘If the National Sports Council and my organization Bangladesh Ansar cooperate, then I can apply for the Guinness Book record.’ said Jamila Khatun.

Her Career started in 1990. Jamila Khatun, from Kabutrakhola village of Munshiganj’s Srinagar upazila, started her judo journey at the age of 16.

She trained in judo, wushu, penchak silat and jujutsu and won various medals including gold from several national and international competitions.

She has won 37 gold, 27 silver and 32 bronze medals so far. Out of which she won 28 gold, 15 silver and 18 bronze medals in Karate, Judo, Wushu and National Wrestling Championships for Ansar.
