Mahfuz Anam James, ‘guru’ of the music world of Bangladesh, famous for his ‘Nagarbaul’, became a father four months ago. However, he has now announced the news!
The rock star recently gave this information to a media outlet, along with his new marriage. James married Namia Amin, an American citizen of Bangladeshi origin, in 2024. After the wedding, she added ‘Anam’ to her name and is now Namia Anam. The couple’s first child, Jibran Anam, was born in a hospital in the USA in June of this year. Meanwhile, expressing his feelings about becoming a father, James said, “The feeling of becoming a father is extraordinary, beyond words. Thank Allah, he has given me a healthy child. Everyone will pray for the mother and the child.”
Namia Anam is James’ third wife. She was born in USA; she graduated with a degree in criminal justice from John Jay College. James married Namia Amin a decade after his divorce from his second wife, Benazir, in 2014. In June 2023, the two met at a Los Angeles event, and from that meeting, their relationship blossomed into love and marriage. A year after they met, they got married in Dhaka on June 12, 2024, in the presence of family members. Gibran was born at 3:30am on June 8, 2025, at Huntington Hospital in New York. James and other family members were with him at the time. Meanwhile, James’ first wife was film actress Rothi. They got married in 1991 and divorced in 2003. Then, in 2000, James married Benazir Sajjad in USA. They divorced in 2014. James has a son and a daughter from his first marriage.
