Rajshahi University Senate Member, Central Sura Member and Pabna District Ameer Prof Abu Taleb Mondal said that Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is not invloved in any kind of militancy while he exchanged views with journalists in Ishwardi. The Ameer said, rather, Jamaat always works for eradication of militancy and good governance in the country.

In the speech of the chief guest, Professor Abu Taleb Mandal described the brutal torture of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami workers nationwide during the dictatorship Awami regime in the last 16 years. He said, none of our leaders and workers could sleep at home during the previous government. At that time our only habitat was bamboo plantation or forest. Where we have to endure the innumerable irritations of various pests including insects.
