NN Online:

As political tensions show signs of easing, a Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami delegation met with Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus on Saturday evening at the state guesthouse Jamuna to discuss upcoming national elections and potential reforms.
The Jamaat delegation included Ameer Shafiqur Rahman and Nayeb-e-Ameer Syed Abdullah Muhammad Taher. Following the meeting, the Jamaat chief expressed hope for a “meaningful election with a level playing field.”
Professor Ali Riaz, Vice-Chairman of the National Consensus Commission, and Adviser Asif Mahmud were also present to support the Chief Adviser during the talks.

This meeting followed similar discussions held earlier by the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), which urged the interim government to present a clear election roadmap. BNP’s dialogue focused on three key areas: reform efforts, the justice process, and election planning, with the aim of holding polls by December this year.
