A dignitary assembly was held with the locals at the initiative of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Feni town Ward No. 10.
The programme was held under the chairmanship of Ward Ameer Maulana Abdul Gafur and conducted by Secretary Shahadat Hossain at a restaurant in the city on Wednesday.
The chief guest was Professor Liaquat Ali Bhuiyan, a member of the Central Majlis-e-Shura and former Ameer of Feni District, and Jamaat-e-Islami’s nominated candidate for the post of Member of Parliament from Feni-2 constituency.
The special guests in the program were Central Majlish Shura Member and District Nayeb Ameer Professor Abu Yusuf, Feni District Secretary Maulana Abdur Rahim, Feni City Ameer Engineer Nazrul Islam, City Assistant Secretary Maulana Arfan Uddin, City Assistant Secretary Mizanur Rahman, City Baitulmal Secretary Monir Ahmed Khan and ward working council members.
The chief guest said in his speech, “The past fascist Awami League did not give the people of Bangladesh the opportunity to exercise their voting rights for 16 long years.
InshaAllah, in the next national parliament elections, with the united efforts of all, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami will have to win to establish a society based on justice and fairness and ensure the realization of people’s rights.
We will have to stand against all conspiracies. He sought everyone’s cooperation for the overall development of the area.” Local well-wishers and well-wishers of Ward No. 10 participated in the rally.
