Jamaat-e-Islami chief Shafiqur Rahman recently met with BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in the United Kingdom, drawing attention due to the apparent differences between the two parties on issues like national elections and state reforms.
Several senior leaders from both sides confirmed that the meeting took place on Sunday at the London residence of Khaleda Zia’s eldest son, Tarique Rahman, who is also the BNP’s Acting Chairman.
