Indian Union Cabinet Minister and former External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on Monday paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her Place of Residence.
“Bangladesh Premier Sheikh Hasina and Jaishankar discussed in detail about the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries,” Foreign Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud briefed the newsmen after the meeting, reports BSS.
They expressed their desire to elevate the relations further in the days to come, he said.
The Bangladesh premier congratulated Jaishankar for becoming an Indian minister and invited him to visit Dhaka.
