– This is how the film actress Sadika Parvin Popy protested in view of the complaints of her mother and sister about the ownership of the ancestral property.
The heroine said that those who have made people with all the wages of life, they have been unfaithful to her.
Popy has been in the centre of discussion for a few days based on the incident of forced land grabbing. Her mother, sister and family members have accused her of trying to grab the land. Even GD has been filed against Popy.
But there was no opinion on this matter from Popy. She finally broke the silence and talked about these allegations in a video message.
Popy said about the complaint of mother and sister, “The allegations made by my mother and sister are all false and fabricated. They cheated on me. I am not occupying their properties. They are trying to take away my property. I bought some of my uncle’s property to protect the family’s honour. I bought some part of my father’s property, which is the inner part of the entire property. Now I’m not being given a way to go to my place. That they want to occupy.”
This is not the first time, Popy’s conflict with family members.
She said in this regard, “Once My family members hired people to kill me. They have repeatedly betrayed me. All my money has been shifted to my sister’s account. Even then I didn’t say anything. Talking about the incident of 2007. I found out that I have nothing. Then the seniors of the film industry had fixed everything. I have been abused a lot by them (family members). They physically abused me. My money was stolen. They hired a killer to kill me. My own brother and sister were involved in it. GD has been filed at the police station, a case has been filed. They were detained. Later, I forgave them.”
Regarding talking about the accusation of raising hands on her sister, Popy said, “My sister said I beaten her. She wants to prove it with video footage taken from a distance… she held the camera in front of my face, I threw it away. I disciplined the brothers and sisters. But never beaten anyone, rather than being beaten by them. They tried to kill me to take away my property.”
Poppy counter-accused her sister and said, “In 2019, my sister went astray. She started selling narcotics, also involved in smuggling and usury business. She was doing all this with the help of my mother. Due to these reasons there was a conflict between my father and mother. Then my mother, brother and sister tried to kill my father. The whole city of Khulna knows this fact. I myself was injured while trying to stop them. At that time my father wanted to divorce my mother and sister out of the house. Then my father filed a GD. I have all the evidences. Making me a villain to cover their guilt. Is it a crime to stay away? Is it a crime to be good? If so, then I am guilty. But I am not guilty as a land grabber, said the film actress.
