IUT holds annual athletic competition

The Annual Athletic Competition- 2014 of the Islamic University of
Technology (lUT), a subsidiary organ of the Organisation of the Islamic
Cooperation (OIC) was held at the playground of the university at Board Bazar, Gazipur on Saturday.
Malaysian High Commissioner to Dhaka Norlin Binti Othman inaugurated the event as chief guest while Prof Dr M Imtiaz Hossain, Vice-Chancellor of the university presided over the function.
Distinguished guests from the embassies/high commissions of the OIC member states in Dhaka and high officials and dignitaries from the host country Bangladesh attended and enjoyed the function.
Students of the University from different OIC Member States including Bangladesh participated in various field and track events and some new records for the university were created in the Athletic Meet.
Md. Nawshad Siddique of EEE was the champion and Md Rakib Uddin of MCE became the runners-up in the competition.
