The School of Business and Entrepreneurship (SBE), an AACSB member and ACBSP-accredited institution at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), is set to host the International Conference on Economics, Business and Technology Management (ICEBTM 2025) on 14-15 November 2025 at The Westin Dhaka.
Ahead of the main event, a press conference was held at IUB to share details of the upcoming conference, says a press release. Prof. Dr. Md. Mamun Habib, General Chair of ICEBTM 2025 and Head of Dept. of Management, provided an overview of the conference’s objectives, various key sessions, and participation from distinguished academics and industry leaders. Dr Hossain Zillur Rahman, Executive Chairman PPRC and Chairperson of Brac will be the Chief Guest as well as deliver a Keynote presentation, whereas Didar A. Husain, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of IUB, will be the Chief Guest in the closing ceremony. Prof. Habib identified the salient features of this conference, including over 300 participants from more than 12 countries, including the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Japan, Malaysia, India, Poland, and the UAE, bringing together researchers, academics, industry experts, and policymakers. The event will include 5 keynote speeches, 8 industry talks, 3 invited speaker sessions, 25 parallel sessions, and 2 academia-industry panel discussions.
Prof. M. Tamim, Patron of ICEBTM 2025 and Vice-Chancellor of IUB provided concluding remarks with a vote of thanks, whereas Prof. Raisul Awal Mahmood, Honorary General Chair and Dean (Acting), SBE and of the conference delivered the welcome remarks. Members of various conference committees, including the Conference Secretariat, Industry Outreach Committee, Branding Committee, Organizing Committee, and department heads, were present at the press briefing.
Prominent industry representatives also attended the event. Syed Nasim Manzur, Managing Director, Apex Footwear Ltd., and Director & Sponsor, Guardian Life Insurance Ltd., attended as the largest sponsor of the conference. Other distinguished guests, including Niaz Rahim, Group Managing Director, Rahimafrooz, along with representatives from other sponsoring organizations, briefed the media.
ICEBTM 2025 aims to foster scholarly and industry dialogue on pressing issues and emerging trends across various disciplines, including artificial intelligence, fintech, supply chain disruption, green business, entrepreneurship, technology, and sustainability.
