An old man named Shanu Bhuiyan (70) was killed in a clash in Itna haor upazila of Kishoreganj on Friday noon over land dispute.
At this time, victim’s son Liton (40) and younger brother Babul (55) were injured. The locals and police sources, Shanu Bhuiyan of Thaneswar Barogaria village in Badla Union and neighbor Muktu Mia had a long-standing dispute over the construction of a boundary wall and tube well. On Friday noon, both sides clashed over the incident. Shanu Bhuiyan, his son and younger brother were injured in the clash.
They were rescued and sent to Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College Hospital (SSNIMCH) where Shanu Bhuiyan died.
The Officer in Charge (OC) in Itna Pice Station Zakir Rabbani said that the body recovered and sent to the morgue for autopsy. An operation is underway to arrest the accused. Further legal action will be taken subject to investigation, OC added.
