Islami Somaj on Sunday said the country is going through an extreme transitional period.
“The people of the country are disoriented due to misrule, corruption, looting and rising commodity prices,” Amir of the Islami Somaj Hazrat Syed Humayun Kabir said at a press conference at Nasrul Hamid Auditorium of Dhaka Reporters Unity in the capital.
He said the people of the country and nation are divided into parties and factions on various issues and are on the path of disunity.
Instead of good governance and justice in people’s lives, the level of discrimination is increasing day by day.
Unprecedented incidents of killing people and destroying property and assets of the country in the name of agitation and suppression of the quota discrimination issue in the job have happened in different parts of the country including the capital Dhaka.
Central leader of Islami Samaj, Muhammad Yasin moderated the programme.
Amir of the Islami Somaj announced a 3-point peaceful program through the event.
The programs are- 1) Human Rights Rally at North Gate of Baitul Morkarrm National Masjid on August 24, Human Rights Rally at Chittagong Road Truck Stand under Siddhirganj, Narayanganj at 21 September and Human Rights Rally at Gazipur Sadar Shibbari intersection at 3 PM on October 26 2) 27, 28 and 29 October, a three-day peaceful mass awakening march will be held from Gazipur Sadar, Bot tala Unisehe Chatwar towards the National Press Club. 3) Nationwide team based mass communication, road meetings and distribution of leaflets and exchange of views and letters with important persons of the country.
At this time, he sincerely called on the government, administration, journalists, civil society, students and all the countrymen to leave the path of conflict and confrontation, unite with the Islami Somaj and continue the peaceful movement with the aim of establishing the laws and regulations of the Creator Allah in the Somaj and the state.
The event also presented by central leaders Muhammad Yusuf Ali Mollah, Solaiman Kabir, Amir Hossain, Azmul Haque, Md. Nuruddin, Asaduzzaman, Salim Mollah, Abu Bakar Siddique, Hafizur Rahman and Sohag Ahmed.
