One of the largest animal markets in the northern region is located in Arankola in Ishwardi town area. Traders, buyers and sellers come here to buy and sell animals from different parts of the ancient country. Also farmers, animal rearing farmers come to buy and sell cows in this market. This bazaar has not been touched by development for a long time.
It is known that every Tuesday of the week there is a cow market in Arankola in the municipal area. Every year the Ishwardi Municipal Authority leases out huts. The authorities have also leased the Arankola Pasurhat for one year for Tk 2 crore 8 lakh 50 thousand. But there is no visible development in the market. A little rain made it difficult to move inside the market.
Rahmat Ali, who came to sell cows last Tuesday (November 19), said that we have no personal problems at this market. The tenants of the huts are giving us full cooperation. There is no extortion in the market. I can sell cows and return home safely with money. But if it rains a little, it fills with tears.
