A woman garment worker was killed by her husband in Ishwardi. The incident took place on Sunday (June 2) at 7:30 am on the Iswardi EPZ Gate area road. The killer husband Milan Hossain was caught by the locals while running away. Ishwardi Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Biplab Kumar Goswami confirmed this news.
The deceased wife Ishwardi was employed in a company called Renaissance Barind Limited of EPZ. She died when her long-estranged husband stabbed her while coming to work in the morning. The name of the deceased garment worker is Rina Khatun (28) from Adani in Rajshahi. Reena Khatun’s husband Milan Hossain’s house (38) is in Chapainawabganj district.
Monirul Islam, Investigation Officer (OC) of Ishwardi police station said, I have brought the body to the police station. The body was sent to Pabna morgue for post-mortem.
The arrested Milon was brought into police custody at the police station. A murder case will be filed in this regard.
