After a long time, Rumana Rashid Ishita has released a new song. Her latest track, ‘Rupor Jhalak’ , was recently launched online. The lyrics are penned by Asif Iqbal, with music composed and arranged by Amit Chatterjee and Ishan Mitra.
Speaking about the song, Ishita said, Around five years ago, I acted in a drama titled ‘Keno’ . During that time, Asif Iqbal bhai told me about ‘Rupor Jhalak’. I really liked the song. Later, I found out that it was used in a drama called ‘Nasib’.
When asked about her irregular presence in dramas, Ishita explained, Right now, I have no involvement in showbiz. Whatever time I have is for myself and my family. If I come across a good script, I’ll definitely work. I still receive scripts from time to time, but I haven’t found anything that aligns with what I’m looking for.
She further added, A few years ago, I worked in dramas like ‘Iti, Ma’ and ‘Pata Jhorar Din’. If the roles are similar, I’d consider acting again. The story needs to revolve around me or my family. At this stage, I don’t feel the need to work just for the sake of being part of a project.
