A discussion meeting aimed at attracting investment to the Sylhet Hi-Tech Park was held today at 2 PM in the conference room of Sylhet Circuit House.
The meeting was presided over by Sylhet Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Sher Mahbub Murad, with ICT Department Secretary Sheesh Haider Chowdhury attending as the chief guest. AKM Amirul Islam, NDC, Managing Director of the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, and Divisional Commissioner Khan Md. Reza-un-Nabi were present as special guests.
Speakers highlighted strategies to encourage investment in the Sylhet Hi-Tech Park, including the creation of an investor-friendly environment and the development of a sustainable digital ecosystem. They emphasized the park’s potential to become a hub for innovation, job creation, and economic growth in the region.
Key participants included leaders from the Sylhet Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sylhet Metropolitan Chamber, Bangladesh Computer Samity, and prominent local entrepreneurs and ICT professionals. Representatives from the ICT Department, local administration, and media were also present.
The event served as a platform to build collaboration between government agencies, private sector stakeholders, and prospective investors to accelerate Sylhet’s transformation into a technology-driven region.
