The International Anti-Corruption Day was celebrated at Pirganj under Thakurgaon district with the theme 'Youth Unity Against Corruption: Building the Purity of the Future;. On Tuesday, the upazila administration and the upazila corruption prevention committee, in collaboration with the Anti-Corruption Commission, organized a national and ACC flag hoisting ceremony, festoon flying, rally, anti-corruption human chain and discussion meeting to the tune of the national anthem. The national flag was hoisted by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Tachhbir Hossain and the ACC flag was hoisted by Upazila Corruption Prevention Committee President Mokaddes Hayat Milon. Later, in the discussion meeting held at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium under the chairmanship of Upazila Corruption Prevention Committee President Mokaddes Hayat Milon, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Tachhbir Hossain, Pirganj Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Abdul Hakim, Press Club President Joynal Abedin Babul, General Secretary of the Corruption Prevention Committee Fazlul Haque, Vice President Mofakkharul Islam, members Mizanur Rahman, Mirajul Islam, Laila Parvin, Amjad Hossain Liton, etc. Earlier, a rally started from the Upazila Parishad premises and marched through various roads of the city before forming a human chain in front of the main gate of the Upazila Parishad. Assistant Commissioner (Land) NM Isfaquul Kabir, Agriculture Officer Nazmul Hossain, government officials, members of the Upazila Corruption Prevention Committee, BNCC, Girls Guide and Scouts members and the general
public participated the rally and human chain.
