Interfaith dialogue at Shibalaya

An interfaith dialogue was held at St. Angela’s Catholic Primary School on Saturday under the initiative of Caritas Dhaka Region. The main theme of the seminar is: Importance of practicing inter-religious dialogue and harmony in schools.
One hundred teachers of primary, secondary and higher secondary schools participated in the seminar under the Formation of Youth and Teachers Program-FYTF project. Dhaka Mahadharmapradesh Arch Bishop Vijay N. D Cruise was the chief guest in the event. Father Chanchal Hubert Perera presided over the function. Ittefaq reporter Babul Akhtar Manjur discussed about Islam, Amarendra Poddar, head teacher of Shivalay Government Primary School, discussed about Hinduism, Dhaka Mahadharmapradesh Archbishop Vijay N. D. Cruise discussed about Christianity. Among others, Bangladesh Catholic Education Board Secretary Jyoti F. Gomez, Caritas Dhaka Region Regional Director (Designate) Sourav Rosario, Baradiya High School Headmaster Shah Md. Rafiqul Islam, Manikganj Kindergarten Association President Mohammad Younus Ali spoke.
