On the occasion of the youth festival celebrations, an inter-school debate competition was organised by the Chatmohar Upazila administration in Pabna.
The competition took place at Chatmohar Government Raja Chandranath and Babu Shumbhunath Model Pilot High School on Thursday.
To raise awareness about social degradation, Chatmohar Pilot Girls’ High School participated in the debate on the topic “Mobile phone addiction is the main cause of social degradation among the younger generation”, while the opposing team was Chatmohar Government Raja Chandranath and Babu Shumbhunath Model Pilot High School.
Government Raja Chandranath and Babu Shumbhunath Model Pilot High School emerged as the winners of the competition. Sumaiya Asha of the winning team received the award for Best Speaker.
Additionally, the innovative projects of students from Handial High School of the upazila were presented to the students during the event.
The programme, chaired by Upazila Executive Officer Musa Naser Chowdhury, was attended by Upazila Social Service Officer Md. Sohel Rana, Agricultural Extension Officer Syed Rahman, ICT Officer Abdullah Al Noman, Head Teacher Khurshid Alam Milon, Head Teacher RKM A. Rob Mia, and others.
