Inter-departmental debate competition begins at BRUR

Begum Rokeya University (BRUR) has inaugurated the two-day Inter-departmental Debate Competition-2025 in memory of martyr Abu Sayeed under the theme ‘Against injustice, fearless explosion of argument’.
On Friday, the debate competition was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Dr. Md. Shawkat Ali.
At the time, he said, “We have started this inter-departmental debate competition today in the memory of martyr Abu Sayeed, which is a brilliant exercise in rational thinking.” The Vice-Chancellor said, “Abu Sayeed has dedicated his life for truth and justice. His ideals will inspire our young generation to move forward on the path of fairness, reason and humanity.”
The convener of the inter-departmental debate competition in memory of martyr Abu Sayeed is Professor Dr., Director of the Office of Student Counseling and Guidance. The event was presided over by Md. Ilias Pramanik and Rangpur District Administrator Mohammad Rabiul Faisal was present as the chief guest. At that time, he said, I am happy to be present at the inter-departmental debate competition organized in memory of Shaheed Abu Sayeed at Begum Rokeya University.
