On Monday, as per the instructions of Feni District Civil Surgeon Dr. Mohammad Rubaiyat Bin Karim, a private hospital and diagnostic inspection team of Sadar Upazila inspected 2 hospitals in Feni city (ZU Model Hospital and Chishtia General Hospital) in the context of the license renewal application submitted to the Directorate General of Health Services.
The inspection team was led by Feni Sadar Upazila Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Md. Saiful Islam, Senior Consultant of 250-bed General Hospital Feni Dr. Abdullah Abbasi. In addition, Civil Surgeon Office Medical Officer Dr. Md. Imam Hossain, Dr. Amir Khasru Tarek, and MT Lab Md. Jahangir Alam were present.
During the visit, all documents (trade license, environmental clearance certificate, waste management agreement, narcotics license, fire service license, Atomic Energy Commission license, etc.), physical facilities (reception room.
sample collection room, X-ray, lab room, operation theater, labor room, post-operative room, ICU, CCU, NICU) of the two hospitals were inspected as per the guidelines of the Directorate General of Health Services for inspection of private hospitals and diagnostic centers.
In addition, the inspection team inspected the price list of the government-determined tests in the two institutions, all the documents of the specialist doctors, medical officers, staff nurses working in the hospital, the necessary documents of the experts involved in the lab tests, the details of the medical technologists and other officials, the medical waste management system, the quality of the lab reagents, the overall quality and effectiveness of the lab equipment, and whether the lab has an overall sterile environment. The District Health Department, led by the Civil Surgeon of Feni District, is always striving to ensure that the people of Feni receive fair and quality health services.
