Inflation down by 0.39pc

The rate of inflation in the country fell by 0.39 per cent in November of the current fiscal, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS).
The rate of point to point inflation stood at 6.21 per cent in November which was 6.60 per cent in October.
Planning Minister A H M Mustafa Kamal yesterday released the monthly Consumer Price Index (CPI) at a press conference at the NEC conference room in the city’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.
Apart from the general inflation, the rate of food inflation in national, urban and rural levels also fell in the month.
At national level, the rate of food inflation in November declined to 6.44 per cent from 7.16 per cent in October. Besides, rate of non-food inflation rose to 5.84 per cent from 5.74 per cent in the previous month.
