Momin Mahadi, Chairman of Natundhara Bangladesh NDB, said that through the July Declaration, inequality-based political and administrative arrangements are being institutionalized. The nation now witnesses how those who once preached about principles have turned into the grand architects of inequality in just 13 months. He made these remarks on the morning of October 24 at a press conference held at Bijoy Milonayaton, 27/7 Topkhana Road, organized to present the record of failures of the Chief Adviser and all other advisers.
The press conference was conducted by the party’s Joint Secretary General Wazed Rana. During his speech, Momin Mahadi further stated that Nobel Peace laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus, who currently holds power, has politically patronized anti-liberation forces instead of taking steps to bring mob instigators under the law or to stabilize the prices of daily essentials. He said Dr. Yunus came to power with the intention of taking revenge on the very people who had rejected his Nagarik Shakti platform. As a result, he and his government are inciting religious fanaticism, violence, price hikes, and corruption.
Among others, Presidium Member and valiant freedom fighter Fazlul Haque, Senior Vice-Chairperson Shanta Farzana, and Vice-Chairperson Chandan Sengupta also addressed the event. The leaders accused Dr. Muhammad Yunus, as Chief Adviser, of being responsible for worsening the situation by not holding elections within 3 to 6 months and by contributing to the increase in commodity prices, corruption, killings, rape, and terrorism. They also alleged widespread corruption in the Ministry of Defence, Armed Forces Division, Ministry of Public Administration, and the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology.
During the event, Momin Mahadi held the following advisers accountable for failures in their respective ministries: Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed — Ministry of Finance; Ministry of Science and Technology; Dr. Wahiduddin Mahmud — Ministry of Planning; Dr. Asif Nazrul — Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs; Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment; Md.
