Indian foreign secy to visit Dhaka May 9

Indian Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra is scheduled to visit Dhaka on May 9 on a two-day visit to finalise the schedule of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Delhi visit.

Foreign Ministry sources said that Indian Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra would hand over the invitation letter for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Delhi visit to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday.

On that day, he would ill also have courtesy meetings with Foreign Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud.

During his visit to Dhaka, Vinay Kwatra will also hold talks with Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen.

Vinay Kwatra’s visit to Dhaka was scheduled for April 20. However, due to unavoidable reasons, that trip was postponed.

Sources said that Bangladesh and India had more or less finalised the issue of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Delhi visit at the end of June. Now, India wants to organise her visit in July.

During the Dhaka visit, Vinay Kwatra can discuss this with Bangladesh.
