India stood with its dedicated support beside Awami League during a critical period when the main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) attempted to disrupt national elections with external assistance.
Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has made the remark expressing gratitude to India for its role as a supportive neighbor.
“It’s a big challenge for the government to bring essential items within the purchasing capacity of the people.
We have to accept the reality of increasing commodity prices and the government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, is actively working to control the situation,”Obaidul Quader told reporters after a meeting with Indian High Commissioner Pranay Kumar Verma at the secretariat on Sunday.
Quader emphasised the collaborative efforts of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in dismantling the “wall of confusion and mistrust” that existed between the two nations.
He declared that there is now no justification for strained relations and acknowledged India’s role as a good neighbor.
During the meeting with Indian High Commissioner Pranay Kumar Verma, Quader stated, “I believe Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi have successfully dismantled the wall of confusion and mistrust.”
