Television: Independent actress Orsha
Entertainment Report :
Nazia Haque Orsha has never joined the race of working excessively, dominating the TV screen all year round, or becoming a star actress. It can be said that she is an “independent actress.”
Orsha is one of those stars who have a clear understanding of their own talent and capabilities. Sometimes she appears in several projects at once, and then suddenly takes a break.
Why does this happen? In response, Orsha says, “When I don’t find good scripts, I prefer spending time on my own rather than working just for the sake of it.
I never think that such breaks might create a gap in my acting career. If a performance has no potential to leave a mark on the audience, I don’t want to do it.
It’s also true that, in terms of numbers, there are far fewer good dramas. So, increasing my workload or earnings just to remain a regular face on screen doesn’t appeal to me.
My heart doesn’t agree with that. Therefore, whenever I get the opportunity, I try to choose meaningful and distinctive stories and characters.”
But how certain are you that acting in good stories and characters will make it believable to the audience? In response to this question, Orsha says, “Nothing can ever be one hundred percent perfect, but if there’s a genuine intention to give your best and create something exceptional, then at least that work won’t disappoint anyone. With this belief, I always try to give my utmost in acting.”
Orsha further says, “It’s not that I always have a clear understanding of the lifestyle and thought process of every character I play. So, I take guidance from the director and prepare separately for each story and role before facing the camera.
But if instead of doing my work sincerely, I had only focused on showcasing myself in front of the camera, it’s hard to say whether I could have come this far.”
