Saifullah Panna, Secretary to the Chief Advisor to the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, inaugurated the Dhaka-Narayanganj BRTC AC bus service from Melandah, Jamalpur, as the chief guest. On this occasion, Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) has organized a discussion meeting at the Melandha Upazila Parishad Auditorium on Saturday.
The meeting held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Hasina Begum was addressed as special guests by former Secretary A. K. M. Ehsanul Haque, former Secretary of IMED Md. Tajul Islam, former Secretary Dr. Faridul Islam, Mymensingh Divisional Commissioner Moktar Ahmed, BRTC Chairman Dr. Anupam Saha, Civil Surgeon Dr. Azizul Haque and Jamalpur Police Superintendent Masud Anwar.
Among others who spoke were – Melandaha UNO SM Alamgir, freedom fighter Jahangir Alam Babu, Umir Uddin Pilot School Headmaster Mohan Talukder, Former president of the District Press Club and editor of the Daily Ajker Jamalpur M. A. Jalil, president of the Merchants’ Association Anwarul Qadir Shyamal Talukder, BNP editor Manjurul Kabir, Jamaat leader Professor Mujibur Rahman Azadi, Harun Or Rashid, Organizing Secretary of the Islamic andolon Mokhlesur Rahman, President of the Melandaha Reporters Unity and correspondent of the daily Ittefaq/ New Nation Shah Jamal, President of the Melandaha Press Club Azam Khan, among others.
