Tarafder Ruhul Amin withdrew his nomination paper on Sunday. He was a candidate for the post of senior vice-president of Bangladesh Football Federation.
Yesterday was the last day to withdraw the nomination papers for the upcoming election of BFF. Thus, Imrul Hasan, who is the other candidate for the post of senior vice-president of BFF, is now the unofficial vice-president of BFF without any contest.
It may be mentioned that Imrul Hasan was the incumbent vice-president of BFF. He served as the acting senior vice-president of BFF before the election of BFF, which is scheduled to be held at the Hotel InterContinental on October 26. Imrul Hasan is the President of Bashundhara Kings.
Tarafder Ruhul Amin collected the nomination paper for the post of senior vice-president of BFF before anyone bought the nomination paper for the post of senior vice-president of BFF.
He announced that he would give fight against Imrul Hasan in the forthcoming election of BFF. But alas, he withdrew his candidature. At 1:55pm representative of Tarafer Ruhul Amin submitted Ruhul Amin’s withdrawal candidature at the BFF House on Sunday.
On Saturday, two candidates for the post of executive members of BFF withdrew their candidature. On Sunday, Mohidur Rahman Miraj withdrew his candidature. Miraj was the former executive member of the last executive committee of BFF. A total of 37 candidates are taking part in the election for the posts of the members of the15 executive committee.
