Imranur Rahman of Bangladesh will compete in the heat of 100metre sprint of Paris Olympics 2024 today at Stade de France in Paris.
Imranur Rahman was an expatriate of United Kingdom. He is a man of Bangladesh Army and the fastest man of the country.
The 100metre sprint is the most attractive competition of any Olympic Games. The sports lover of the whole world always eagerly want to watch this event.
But it is almost confirm that Imranur Rahman cannot bag the gold medal from this event and it will be a tough task for him to qualify for the final round of this event. Imranur’s main target is to move in the next round from the heat.
After taking part in the practice session of the track in Paris, Imranur Rahman said, ” I want to cross my previous timing. Please keep me in your prayers. I want to give my best.”
Earlier, Imranur Rahman clocked 10.11 seconds in a competition, which was held in London.
But he could not earn this timing in any 100metre sprint competition so far.
Imranur Rahman snatched the gold medal in the 60metre sprint in the Asian Indoor Athletics, which was held in January of 2023. It is the greatest achievement for Bangladesh in any athletics competition so far.
Imranur Rahman has taken part in the World Athletics and Asian Games for two years. But for the first time he is going to compete in Olympics.
He said, ” Actually no competition can not be compared with Olympics. I am waiting for my best moment in my career.”
Meanwhile, Sonia Akter of Bangladesh will take part in the 50metre freestyle of swimming competition of Paris Olympics on the same day. Her best timing in this event is 30.11 seconds. Her Coach Abdul Hamid is expecting that she will cross her previous timing today.
