The army in a drive seized at least 509 sacks of OMS, TCB rice from a godown at Char Sholakia in the town on Sunday morning. It is known that, Kishoreganj’s Puranthana bazar trader, also ex-municipal councilor Md.Sultan Miah illegally stored in Jewel Mea godown in Newtown area of the city.
At that time, Businessman Sultan Miah’s manager claimed that the rice has been purchased and kept in the godown. As he could not provide proper papers, the rice was seized and the godown was sealed.
