Idhika Paul comes to Dhaka, shooting starts today in old town

Dhallywood’s superstar Shakib Khan and Kolkata’s popular face of the small screen, Idhika Paul’s first movie titled ‘Priyotoma’ directed by Himel Ashraf is
starting today in Old Dhaka under the production of Arshad Adnan, owner of Versatile Media.
Since the shooting will start from today, Idhika Paul came to Dhaka last Tuesday morning.
In the afternoon, Idhika went to Arshad Adnan’s office in Gulshan area in the capital and took part in a meeting before taking part in the shooting of the movie. This correspondent met there and spoke with Idhika Paul. After the talk, the actress wandered around Hatirjheel in the capital and then spent some time at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) located at Karwanbazar in Dhaka at night.
The next day i.e. yesterday morning she went to Dhakeshwari Temple located in Old Dhaka.
Idhika will start shooting from today. She acted in a movie in Kolkata before acting in Bangladeshi movies. As of now, nothing is being revealed about this movie.
Idhika considers acting as ‘Priyotoma’ opposite Bangladeshi superstar Shakib Khan as a matter of great fortune. Earlier, Idhika said about watching Bangladeshi movies, Shakib Khan and talking about various topics like Dhaka. She told this correspondent, “I have seen very few Bangladeshi movies. But from the movies that I have seen, I feel that the story is very good and the production style is also very good. The same is the case with my ‘Priyotoma’ movie. When the director of my movie, respected Himel Ashraf, contacted me, I was very pleased to hear the story from him. Before coming here, I had a conversation with my hero in the movie, Shakib Khan. I got a glimpse of how many superstars he is before he came here. I have joined a good project. And of course I am grateful to Arshad Adnan, the producer of the movie. It was nice to meet him directly and talk to him. Starting to work with Hero from today, I wish everyone’s blessings.”
Idhika Paul, the only child of South Kolkata couple Dilip Paul and Rupa Paul, is celebrating her birthday on July 2.
Idhika started her career in acting with ‘Beder Meye Joshna’ on Sun Bangla channel. But before that she made herself proficient in dancing.
After that, she acted in the serials ‘Kopalkundola,’ ‘Rimli,’ and ‘Pilu’, and she has delighted the audience.
Idhika has been praised as an advertisement model for ‘Kaya Sheth’, ‘Laxminarayan Bastralaya,’ ‘Adi Readymade Store’, ‘B. Sarkar Jahuri’ and ‘Grainer’.
