A delegation of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) led by its President-in-Charge, M Nurul Alam FCS called on meeting with Dr. M Aslam Alam, Chairman of the Insurance Development & Regulatory Authority (IDRA) on Thursday.
On behalf of the delegation, M Nurul Alam FCS congratulated Dr. Aslam on his appointment as the Chairman of the IDRA then he introduced the delegates and apprised him about the various activities that ICSB undertook for the professional development.
During the meeting, the ICSB delegation discussed the Appointment of Insurer’s Advisor Regulation, 2024 and proposed the inclusion of the Chartered Secretary profession within the regulation. They requested that ICSB Fellow Chartered Secretaries (FCS) be considered for key positions such as Managing Director, Company/Board Secretary, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Compliance Officer in insurance companies.
