The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup (WC) will start after 99 days. Bangladesh will host the Women’s T20 World Cup. The matches of the World Cup will be held at the different venues across the country.
Meanwhile, the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 are going on at the different venues of the West Indies. The United States of America also hosted the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Only three matches of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup are scheduled to be held in West Indies. The two semi-finals will be held today, while the final will take place on June 29.
Marking the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, a count down programme was held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital’s Mirpur on Tuesday last. According to the count down occasion, the gala extravaganza will begin after 100 days. The members of Bangladesh Women’s Cricket team were present on the occasion of the 100-day count down.
The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup will start on October 3.
A total of 10 team’s splitting into two groups will take part in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka have been placed in Group-A, while Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies and Scotland have been slated in Group-B.
A total of 23 matches will be held at the different venues across the country. To two teams from each group will play in the semi-final. The two semi-finals will be held October 17 and October 18. The winners of the two semi-finals will play in the final. The final will take place on October 20.
The matches of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital’s Mirpur, Sylhet International Cricket Stadium and Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Ground-2. The practice matches will be held at the BKSP Grounds in Savar.
Bangladesh will take on Scotland in their opening Group-A match on October 3, the Tigresses will face England in their second Group-A match on October 5, Bangladesh will meet West Indies in their third Group-A match on October 9, the Tigresses will face South Africa in their last Group-A match on October 12.
