Staff Reporter :

The admission test for the BBA programme of the University of Dhaka’s Institute of Business Administration (IBA), was held for the academic year 2025-26 on Friday.
A total of 9,526 candidates sat for the test against only 120 seats, marking one of the most competitive admission events of the year.

To ensure a smooth and secure examination environment, Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof Niaz Ahmed Khan visited the IBA test centre during the exam. Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof Sayema Haque Bidisha, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof Mamun Ahmed, Treasurer Prof M Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Proctor Prof Saifuddin Ahmed and IBA Director Prof Shakil Huda accompanied him.

After inspecting the examination activities, the Vice-Chancellor said, “In this highly competitive examination, 80 students are participating against one seat. Therefore, 79 will not get the opportunity to be admitted. But students must remember that not securing admission is not the end of life.”

He also urged parents not to exert excessive pressure on their children.
The university will hold the ‘Fine Arts Unit’ admission test for the General Knowledge and Drawing section tomorrow, Saturday, 29 November. The admission test for the ‘Arts, Law and Social Sciences Unit’ is scheduled for 13 December, while the ‘Science Unit’ exam will take place on 20 December.

The ‘Business Education Unit’ examination will be held on Saturday, 6 December 2025. All examinations will run from 11:00am to 12:30pm.
