The popular face of showbiz is Dr Ejazul Islam. Who is better known as Dr Ejaz. He has won the hearts of the audience by playing diverse roles.
Especially in the many dramas and movies of the late novelist Humayun Ahmed, his characters still delight the audience.
Recently, this actor told about a bad experience. He also expressed his anger.
Dr Ejaz was disappointed after being summoned by the Consumer Affairs Department and accused of cheating customers after being involved in an advertisement for an online company called ‘Khati-Ghee’ (Pure Ghee).
Finally, he made it clear that he would never advertise any food products again in his life.
A victimised buyer told the media that he was not convinced even after seeing various advertisements online.
But he bought it on faith after seeing Dr Ejaz promoting ghee. Later, he was cheated due to the poor quality of the product. Such allegations quickly spread on social media.
In this situation, the Consumer Affairs Department summoned Dr Ejaz. He also said that a director of the company showed him the BSTI logo on the product. So, he assumed that the product was tested and of good quality.
“If the company is really selling adulterated products, the Consumer Affairs Department should investigate and take strict action,” said Ejaz.
The actor has already submitted a written complaint in this regard.
However, despite filing a complaint, the advertisement is still being circulated on social media.
He tried to talk to the company to stop the matter, but to no avail.
Ejaz said, “I have told you to stop advertising and stop deceiving people. But they are not listening. I have reported the matter to the Consumer Affairs Department.”
Finally, expressing his decision, Dr Ejaz said, “After this incident, I have made a firm decision – I will never advertise food products again in my life. I hope no one can exploit people’s trust again.”
