Popular television and film actor Afran Nisho has been entertaining audiences for two decades. He began his career on the small screen and later achieved equal popularity in cinema.
After the success of his films Surongo and Dagi, fans now want to see him regularly on the big screen.
Recently, ahead of the release of the web series Aka, directed by Vicky Zahed, Nisho candidly shared his thoughts about his simple lifestyle in an interview.
Talking about his simple way of living, Nisho said, “Even now, if I feel like it, I take public buses, I drink tea at small roadside stalls. I walk on the grass around 300 feet road. If I feel like bathing, there are streams and canals there where I do so.”
Celebrities are usually shielded by protocol and the need to avoid crowds. But Nisho considers such things completely unnecessary. In his words, “To me, these feel pointless and a waste.
I live simply – that’s my style. At the end of the day, I too will have to lie beneath the soil. So, the more I achieve, the more grounded I want to remain. I want to get even closer to my fans.”
The actor focuses on building easy, genuine connections with his fans. He believes that fans taking photos or approaching him is not a problem; rather, what matters is politely saying no when necessary. As he explained, “If I’m tired, I’ll simply say – I can’t take a photo right now. They understand. This mutual understanding with my fans always works.”
He does not feel the need to create unnecessary hype or maintain a sense of untouchability. According to Nisho, leading a simple life makes the work extraordinary. The person himself does not need to be extraordinary – his work should be.
“I want to remain ordinary as a human being. But I want my work to be extraordinary. Perhaps that’s how I will be able to remain in the hearts of the audience for a long time,” he added.
Afran Nisho’s outlook has also been praised by fans. Because when a star values ordinary people and the small joys of life, that’s when he becomes even more relatable and beloved.
Meanwhile, there is already much anticipation for Nisho’s upcoming web series Aka. The series, co-starring Nabila opposite Nisho, is set to premiere on Hoichoi on September 4. Since the release of its trailer, it has been a topic of much discussion.
