I believe Nusraat Faria will get legal redress: Farooki
Entertainment Report :
Cultural advisor and film director Mostafa Sarwar Farooki has now opened
up about the arrest of film actress Nusraat Faria.
Farooki posted a status about Faria on social media. Where Farooqui wrote, “I usually try not to talk about anything outside of my ministry. But I have an identity; I was a person in this industry, and I will go back there in two days. Nusraat Faria’s arrest was an embarrassing incident for us.”
Then he further wrote, “Our government’s job is to prosecute the real perpetrators of July. Our clear position in large-scale cases is that no one can be arrested unless there is evidence of involvement in the initial investigation. And that policy was being followed. This case against Faria has been going on for a long time. I have not seen any attempt by the government to arrest him before the investigation is complete. But this incident happened right after we got to the airport.”
Without mentioning whether such an incident is justified or not, Farooki finally wrote, “These incidents may have occurred out of over-nervousness following the anger surrounding former Awami League’s former president Abdul Hamid’s foreign trip. A similar incident happened to Barrister Andaleeve Rahman Partho’s wife a few days ago. These events are in no way acceptable. I believe Faria will get legal redress and hope we can handle this type of case more sensitively. We must remember that our main task is to prosecute the real perpetrators of July.”
Earlier yesterday morning, a court sent actress Nusraat Faria to jail in a murder attempt case filed at Bhatara Police Station.
