Democratic Security Forum, Khulna, formed a human chain in front of Khulna Metropolitan on Saturday demanding the creation of a traffic-free Khulna city, free of encroachment on sidewalks, and the banning of illegal easy bikes and auto rickshaws.
At that time, speakers said that easy bikes and auto rickshaws that do not have licenses should be banned.
Arrangements should be made so that these vehicles cannot stand anywhere.
Vehicles should be allowed to move in a controlled and orderly manner and a traffic-free city should be ensured. Licensing organizations should stop issuing licenses in exchange for money and should issue licenses in a proper manner.
Severe traffic congestion is being caused by unlicensed vehicles and this problem should be solved.
Arrangements should be made for the movement of vehicles in places including Helatola Road, Dakbangla and Rupsha.
Sheikh Abdul Halim, Advocate Mirza Nuruzzaman, Mahbub Khokon, Adv. A. Moin Khan, Adv. Md. Alamgir Hossain Khan, Md. Jamal Morol, Sardar Abu Taher, Kazi Motahar Rahman Babu and other people were present at the time. The speakers warned of a strict movement if this demand was not met.
